Mar 12, 2010 - in a pool its easy, you just need t come up. but i couldnt even swim in the current. to make things worse, there was stuff in the water that kept hitting me- parts of trees, cars, EVERYTHING you name it. the last thing i remember was hitting something really, really hard. hard as brick. i hit it straight on and i was in agony. i still hav a scar on the back of my head- i have long hair so you cant see it and its faded alot- but wotever i hit cut my head open n knocked me out.

Mar 12, 2010 - i awoke three days later with severe concussion in hospital. over the next few days after i didnt talk to anyone..i was dazed and disorientated. then my memory came back a little. i talked to a specialist, who made me draw my family, friends, where i lived, the hotel...everything so she could help me find my parents. It ws vey difficult at first because everything was so destroyed, but eventually they found my mum. my brother who ws 3 was killed in the tsunami. my dads never been found.

Mar 12, 2010 - i still have a fear of the sea today. i never go near the ocean or water. the tsunami has scarred me for life. alos, not knowing where my dad was was so `hard for me. i know he is dead and that i wil never see him agaain but i still hope. even today. i hope my story has helped you reading this realize, how lucky u were if u suvived the tsunami. but remember, anything unexpected and dangerous can happen to u. i thought i was a person who would never experience something like that. but i did.

Mar 13, 2010 - I've been there one year later, you could still see how high the water went on the trees. Kho Phi Phi is such a relaxing place, but nature is so freaking deadly and surprising sometimes. one year later there where evacuation routes and warning towers everywhere on the Thailand coast. At least we learned an important lesson. RIP for all the victims, strength to the survivors and tons of respect for all the rescue workers
