21.06.09 Police say Carradine was alone
Source: Bangkok Post
No information has surfaced to contradict
witnesses and forensic evidence showing that US movie star David
Carradine was alone in his room on the night of his death, police said
on Saturday.
Pol Col Kachornsak Parnsakorn, deputy commander of metropolitan police division 5, spoke to the media late Saturday afternoon.. Pol
Col Kachornsak said he was addressing US rumours that the American
movie star might have been killed by a gay man in his room. The
policeman said closed circuit television cameras in front of
Carradine's room showed that he went into his room alone, and forensic
investigators have found no evidence there ever was a second person in
the hotel suite. Carradine, 72, was in Bangkok to shoot a movie.
He was found by a room maid, partly tied in a closet in the room at the Nai Lert Park hotel on June 5.
Investigators
believe he died from an accident during a session of asphyxiophilia, or
auto-erotic asphyxiation during a bout of masturbation.
A full
report on the death is due shortly from Khunying Porntip Rojanasunan,
director of the Central Institute of Forensic Science, head of the
coroner's investigation.
