Source: Pattaya One News

On Thursday Afternoon, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sumet from Pattaya Police Station was called to house number 102/24 located in Soi 3 off the Central Pattaya Road to investigate a foreign fatality. Inside the bedroom was the body of Mr. Frank Renier Knittel aged 65 from Germany, the owner of the house. He was slumped over the edge of the bed and initial inspections of the house and body suggested there were no signs of foul play. A longtime friend and neighbor of the deceased man, Khun Sitipon aged 58 explained that Mr. Knittel would often invited people back to his house and she noticed that his Rolex Watch was missing and suggested that he may have had a heart attack while in the company of guests who may have taken the watch after they realized he had died. A post mortem examination is now underway and the German Embassy in Bangkok are aware of the death.
