01.07.09 Prepaid Electric Meters to be rolled-out here in Pattaya.

On Tuesday Morning at the Town-in-Hotel Hotel in Central Pattaya, Khun
Narit, Deputy Chief of the Provincial Electricity Authority led a
seminar to announce the introduction of pre-paid electric meters which
are to be rolled-out here in Pattaya, Rayong, Nakon Rachasima and
Petchburi Provinces. If you wish to join the scheme the meters must be
purchased from the Authority at a cost of 3,000 Baht and a refund for
the old meter at your property is available. The meters accept smart
cards which need to be topped up and are expected to ease the financial
burden on families who are normally presented with a bill every month
which needs to be paid in one go. Now families can effectively spread
