24.09.09 His Majesty has a return of appetite
His Majesty the King has recovered from his fever and is now eating and sleeping well, the Royal Household Bureau says.
His body temperature has returned to normal and the medical team has
reduced his intravenous drip and antibiotics intake, the bureau said
yesterday in its fourth statement since His Majesty entered hospital.
The King was admitted to Siriraj Hospital on Saturday with a fever, fatigue and loss of appetite.
Meanwhile, senior Phra Sangkhathikarn monks in Bangkok will deliver
a prayer on Monday for His Majesty's health, the Office of National
Buddhism said.
The prayer and religious rites will be held at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha at the Grand Palace starting at 4pm.
A similar ceremony will be performed at temples across the country.
The events will be televised.
Members of the public are encouraged to take part by praying and wishing the King a speedy recovery.
They could come to the temples or pray at home.
The Office of National Buddhism has also issued an announcement
asking temples around the country to hold morning and evening prayers
until the King recovers fully. Source: Bangkok Post, 24.09.09 http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/24368/his-majesty-has-a-return-of-appetite
