Dara Academy is Chiang Mai and northern Thailand’s oldest and one of Thailand’s largest and most well known private schools. We are located within a five minute walk of the Chiang Mai, Arcade bus station and only a few minutes from the middle of beautiful, historic Chiang Mai City. We are seeking teachers for all different grade levels (Anuban 1 – Matayom 6, or kindergarten to 12th grade). Teachers will be responsible for teaching one or two Native Speaker Program classes. These classes consist of about 35 students and receive four to five contact hours per week. Teachers will also be responsible for teaching multiple classrooms (within the same level as their Native Speaker Program class) of 50 students, two hours per week. A total teaching load will consist of roughly 18 hours per week (between both Native Speaker Program and non-Native Speaker Program classes).
The salary for all new teachers is 30,000 Thai Baht per month. Free on-campus accommodation (air-conditioned, fully furnished, cable tv, hot water shower, maid service, laundry service, etc) is provided. All work visa and work permit costs and paper work will be paid for and taken care of by the school. Only native English speakers from the U.K., U.S.A., Canada, Australia and New Zealand who hold a 4 year University Degree will be considered for the available positions. Applicants who have a degree in education, prior teaching experience or TESL/TEFL Certificate will be considered before those who do not.
