Apr 26, 2011 - @grifola they do iv hunted them for 20 years ill go out one day and pick all of them under a tree and they are right back there the next day and its actuly estamated that of the few comon species of morels we know there are probly alot more species that just look similar (mycologysts are always changeing the names, classification, species, of shrooms), mebe some species take longer and also mebe climate and other factors could come into play? the greys take a while but the big yellows pop up

blakeinkzoo Says:

Apr 29, 2011 - 19,722 Views! Congratulations! I hope that they come up in the same spot this year.

bulldoggrrr Says:

Aug 27, 2011 - @TalulahsDaddy i have also found several around my tree and driveway, but I saw it as the bad sign that it was \. Because usually morels love growing around dead and dying elm trees. Well 3 yrs later the tpo of the huge (70' plus) elm in my front yard is now dying with the top third being totally lifeless except for shelf mushrooms, now the tree is in danger of falling on my house and cost 1300 to remove (so maybe your friend made a good move), but the morels were great :)
