Mar 16, 2010 - Completely agree. If he would've stepped it up even a little bit, he would've gotten at least 4 rounds, as he was hitting pacman with more flush shots. To be honest, I don't know how strongly I feel that opinion. Manny spent a lot of time trying to bait him into throwing (basically what he did against Cotto). His face was pretty damaged after that fight even though he beat the shit out of Miguel. Just disappointed because I'm not as big a fan of Clottey's as I was before the fight.

Mar 16, 2010 - And I agree back. Manny's face was swollen at the end of that fight pretty bad, as in the Cotto fight. Difference is Cotto has 2x the Heart and Spirit Clottey has, and he still ended up on the floor. Clottey also is taller and has better reach than Cotto does. I just don't see why he wasn't trying to throw off that "up the middle" approach from Manny by just stepping to his left and making it harder for the southpaw to get that straight left off first.
tftmc Says:
Mar 16, 2010 - All Clottey had to do was throw jabs. After stepping to the left, that throws off Manny. You can see it in past fights from Manny, against guys like Morales. He got off punches and Manny was even faster then. Clottey needed timing. Slip the southpaw jab or left and keep moving side to side pushing Manny back into the ropes. In Clottey's defense, his trainer wasn't granted a Visa for weeks Pacman's stature in the ring reminds me of Tyson. He intimated with power, Manny intimidates with speed.

Mar 16, 2010 - Clottey didn't need a special trainer to tell him to throw punches...the trainer he had was doing a good job pointing that out to him. Fact is he was scared of being countered to death and end up looking like cotto.Clottey has always fought that way but atleast he was more agressive when he fought judah, baldomir, cotto, margarito. With pacquiao he felt intimidated or reluctant to do so. Im sure he saw the oppurtunities to score like we did but he just didn't take the risks!
Tusc9969 Says:
Mar 16, 2010 - Its no mystery that clottey is naturaly bigger and stronger than pacquiao which is why he marked up pacquiao's face with just a few hits. Pac's face has been marked up many times..against morales, marquez, and cotto...pac's no outside boxer. With Clottey's height and reach he couldv'e done a lot more damage using his quick jabs and One-Two combos....not much different than what Winky Wright did to mosley!
ThumperTO Says:
Mar 16, 2010 - I don't understand why people are belittling Pac's power. Just because he's smaller? fuck that Clottey was mad scared that Pac would knock him ANYTIME. He wasn't waiting to retaliate, he just tasted something early that he didn't want to taste again. Clottey had no choice! it's either turtle up or eat the mat. He had nothing in his arsenal against Pac.

Mar 17, 2010 - Srvaun66, an industrial fan, huh? That sounds painful on any part of a persons anatomy. A calculated strategy and risk is what we ask of those who compete especially on that level. Clottys defense and jab were part of his make-up and strategy. When that proved to be inadequate against the champion and p4p best boxer in the world (Pac) where was the risk? Thanks for watching and your color comment. JD (the guy with the hat)

Mar 17, 2010 - Your welcome Bro! At the end of the day we did for the nookie! Well at least one of us did..you got it the guy in the cap JD

Mar 17, 2010 - I agree with the Marauder as well! Which is rare however fufilling in some odd way...Matt the Marauder rules! JD
xphipoy Says:
Mar 17, 2010 - If Clottey had just opted to slug it out with Manny he could have the chance. On the other hand, he will be open for Manny to knock him out and that's what Manny likes him to do. Manny even offered to be hit, but Clottey does not have the heart.

Mar 18, 2010 - Nice vid! Kep it up! Hopin' to see ur preview thoughts on pac vs mayweather, or pac vs mosley coz' eventually it will happen. Its gonna be a long discussion so make it parts 1&2...&3 Hehe!

Mar 18, 2010 - clottey doesnt have a heart to get knock out.. just like what people wants it... thats why everybody says the fight was boring coz clottey didnt get knock out....
komododrago Says:
Mar 20, 2010 - clottey think about her daughter that's why he chooses to hide instead rather than dead.
babyfaceassassin21 Says:
Mar 21, 2010 - clottey was just scared to get knock out. if he let go of his hands he will get a punch. he couldnt let go of his hands becoz he has a slower hands. lets face it if joshua didnt do his turtle defence he will get knock out. pacquiao can land 4 quick punches in a second all on joshua's jaw.
CorDova07x Says:
Mar 22, 2010 - Clottey did what they (Arum) wanted him to do. He was just a live punching bag Pac, for this fight he mentaly gave up before the fight started, it seemed that he was happy with the 1M payday. At least Cotto went for broke when he fought Pac. Arum, HBO, & Jerry Jones fucked the fans. They will piss down ur back & tell you it's raining. This was a over hyped tune up for Pac. I give him (Pac) credit because he came in ready to fight. Fighting is a mental game, which Clottey was not Mentaly prepared

Apr 24, 2010 - the truth is Clottey was hurt in the first round he was intimidated by Pacquiao blinding speed, if he's not hurt he's suppose to absorbed the punches of Pacquiao and trade punches with him but why he didn't? "HE'S AFFRAD TO GET KNOCKOUT"
johntor Says:
Jun 10, 2010 - Guys it seem's you dont understand! coz your not the one who fighting manny pacquaio, why dont you try to fight manny and i'm sure that you both sleep in the canvas like hatton have... and that for sure....
RaslinRIP3 Says:
Jun 12, 2010 - Clottey has no heart and he should never be in a main event again. How do you expect to win a fight if you don't throw any punches and I don't care how hard Manny hits. What kind of game plan was that to just be in a defensive shell the whole fight.
Super1000Duran Says:
Jul 20, 2010 - garbage analysis
jesbsnrn Says:
Jul 15, 2011 - he would leave himself dangerously open to offense that's way he couldn't throw too much.

tftmc Says:
Mar 16, 2010 - Sorry man, not trying to diss the Fu.
